Dr. Aparicio Carranza

Dr. Aparicio Carranza earned his PhD degree in Electrical Engineering from The Graduate School and University Center – CUNY; BSEE (summa cum laude) & MSEE from The City College of New York – CUNY and his AAS (summa cum laude) in Electronics Circuits and Systems from Technical Career Institutes of NY. He joined the Computer Engineering Technology Department of the The New York City College of Technology as full time faculty on fall 2000. Before becoming a full time, he was an adjunct faculty for four years at the same department. For several years he worked as an Engineer – Scientist at the Development Division of IBM Corp. (RS6000 parallel computers; and S/390 mainframe computers) in Poughkeepsie, NY. He teaches Analog Electronics, Digital Electronics, Programming Languages (MATLAB, C, C++, Java, etc.), Engineering Analysis, Data Communications, Engineering Design and other related courses.

Dr. Miguel Bustamantes

Dr. Miguel Bustamante is an Associate Professor of Applied Mathematics at University College Dublin, with a PhD in Physics. His research focuses on theoretical and numerical work, with a particular interest in turbulence, extreme events, and nonlinear systems in fluids. He has also worked on nonlinear energy-transfer mechanisms in wave systems and their applications to various real-life systems. 

Dr. Faria

Dr. Diego Resende Faria

Dr Diego Resende Faria is a Reader in Computer Science in the School of Science at Loughborough University, having joined the institution in 05/2025. Prior to this (2022-2025), he was a Reader in Robotics and Intelligent Adaptive Systems at the School of Physics, Engineering and Computer Science, University of Hertfordshire, UK. From 2016 to 2022, he held academic positions as Lecturer and then Senior Lecturer at Aston University, Birmingham, UK.

Dr Resende Faria is knwon for his interdisciplinary research at the intersection of multisensory artificial intelligence, cognitive robotics, neuro-affective intelligence, and human-machine interaction. His work integrates neuro-affective AI, assistive technologies, and intelligent systems to improve interaction between humans and machines (healthcare and education).
